"Buckle Up!"
"He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler." ~Psalm 91:4 (KJV)
SISTAH DECLARATION:
When I get in a tight spot, I will buckle up with the Word!
The buckler was a little shield that was attached to their arm. So if they were in close combat with somebody, they used the buckler to guard against being attacked with the enemy’s sword.
The scripture said that His truth is your shield and buckler. His truth is His Word. This is what you must believe. You must utilize the Word of God in your life in order to receive the 23 promises in Psalms 91. Utilize His truth when things get tight and you want to give up. Know that His Word is the shield against the onslaught of the enemy and it will keep you from being hit.
When things get tight, pull out the buckler of the Word. It will help you when you are in close combat right at the last minute—right at the end of things, and it looks like you are surrounded, and it looks like you are going down. You pull out your weapon, which is the truth of the Word of God, and take the enemy down. Stay in there until you win. Keep your confidence in God and in the ability of His Word to bring you out on top.
