The QSV Nurse Analyst is a professional nurse with broad-based clinical knowledge, care experience and skills working with clinical applications which are used to record assessment and care, and to develop data bases related to nursing and facility outcomes. The incumbent serves a leadership role in facilitating interdepartmental and interdisciplinary processes of implementing Accreditory/Regulatory, Quality Metric Improvement, Performance Improvement, and Quality Documentation. Also serves in educating staff, and analyzing data to improve care to Veterans. The incumbent serves as subject matter expert resource and consultant for data needs, documentation related to quality metrics and outcome monitoring, as a facility liaison/point of contact for accreditation bodies, such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Office of Inspector General (OIG), and QSV Program questions, and is responsible for training, support, and data analysis.
