Development Service Support Technician

  • Performs defect analysis, repairs, and upgrades of Returned Customer Development products (external and internal)
  • Facilitates/trains/assists one or more individuals in dismantling discontinued NOA products, kitting new development products, shipping of finished goods from the cage, and special projects as needed
  • Completes monthly inventory cycle counts and verify discrepancies (if any)
  • Evaluates and documents defect issues for product being shipped to vendors for repair
  • Implements training from vendors to complete upgrades, updates and repairs on Development tools.
  • Documents defective product prior to being shipped out and repaired by vendors
  • Receives training from vendors on upgrades then makes updates on Development tools
  • Maintains inventory on product availability for shipping/repairs
  • Communicates with vendors regarding program updates/upgrades, repair questions, and miscellaneous parts
  • Evaluates repaired units from vendors and updates as needed
  • Accurately picks orders/repairs an audits transactions completed by others
  • Maintains a high level of security regarding product and information
  • Tests and updates repaired units from vendors
  • Audits picked orders and customer repair sheet for accuracy
  • Ensures repaired equipment meets required specifications
  • Follows documented safety/ergonomic guidelines and operating procedures at all times
  • Assists in Oracle testing and evaluation in related area of business as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
  • One or more years of related experience
  • Knowledge of microprocessor and digital circuits
  • Ability to read electronic schematics
  • Ability to troubleshoot defective product
  • Proficient de-soldering and soldering skills
  • Ability to distinguish colors
  • Good basic math skills
  • Accurate counting skills
  • Ability to read and write technical information and/or instructions
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Customer service experience
  • Good PC skills
