High gas prices took many for a scare. Hundreds of homes are going into foreclosure. Banks are going bankrupt. Jobs are closing down and forcing people into unemployment. Chaos is all around us and it appears as though there is not much hope in the world. These may be facts based upon the world, but we as followers of Christ must see things differently. The price of gas may cause you to start carpooling with neighbors—an opportunity to minister about God’s goodness. Foreclosures and bankruptcy offer you an opportunity to learn proper financial management and teach you how to prioritize your income. Unemployment could be an opportunity for you to start that business that you’ve always wanted to. It’s amazing how God operates.
Sometimes the goodness and grace of God is hidden behind chaos. Our biggest challenge might be the difficulty of the search as we quest for God’s will, answers, lessons and remedies for life’s situations.
Always remember that God will never give you more than you can handle nor will He allow His people to be forsaken. Pray for clarity and seek God for direction. Lean on Him for understanding—that He may guide you to your next transition in life. Lift up your head and walk in the confidence of God. Show the world that you operate by a different POWER—one that is not limited to how good or bad the economy is, one that is not defined by bureaucratic decisions—but by God’s ultimate authority and rule!
