This week's stock review:
It's been a historic week in America, the country is caught up in the election of Barack Obama and rightly so. Speculation on every move the President-elect plans is running on all the news channels. We are going to look at the incoming Obama administration too, but from an investor's point of view. What will an Obama administration mean to your portfolio? It's hard to know if an incoming President will deliver on their promises, but when pressed on his top priorities outside of fixing the financial crisis, Obama's answer has been consistent - healthcare and renewable energy. With energy stocks down 20-80% since their 52 week highs, we're focusing on renewable energy. Our Bearish pick is also indirectly affected by energy costs. Airlines are temporarily seeing some gains due to substantial drops in oil prices, but the problems for airlines are greater than fuel costs and we recommend you get out and stay out.
