Beautiful Bride by Marilyn Griffith (20 hits)

"How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine, And the fragrance of your oils Than all kinds of spices!"
(Song of Solomon 4:10, NASB)

God can't take his eyes off you. Not only does He want to give you His love, but He wants your love in return. In Song of Solomon 2, we learned that the king's kisses are better than wine. Here we see that the bride's kisses are better than wine too.

Interesting since Christ's first miracle was turning water into wine--making the ordinary into the exquisite. Only the servants knew the truth--that the wonderful "wine" had come from the purification tubs where people washed themselves. God turned bathwater into wine!

And only the servants, those who had not been invited to do anything but work, saw who Jesus really was, knew what had really happened--a miracle.

And yet, you are better than a miracle to Him. Your love is better than wine. His heart beats faster with a single look at you (Song of Solomon 4:9).

You were a garden locked up, a spring sealed, but now you are a spring of living water. He calls the four winds to blow through your garden so that he can smell your fragrance (Ephesians 5:2), your Jesus breeze throughout the earth.

"You are altogether beautiful, my darling, and there is no blemish in you>" (Song of Solomon 4:7)

Altogether beautiful. Not just your eyes, but your lips, hips, feet, ears... Altogether! Now. Today. Not when you lose weight or get your hair done or finish school or get that job... Today, sistah, you are altogether beautiful.

Let's act like it. :)

John 2: 1-11; Song of Solomon 4; Ephesians 5:2

Have a blessed and beautiful day!
