God’s Sovereignty in My Life - 3/9/2009

2 Timothy 2:[15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I give praises unto God from whom all blessings truly does flow!

I believe God will be pleased with me for sharing, just a snippet, with you all what He revealed to me in my devotion time for me, for me this morning as I believe reflects the heart of many; yet for others, it will enlighten you as to why people like myself commit and trust their life to a true and living God through His Son Jesus Christ who is not seen with the natural eye.

The significance stems from all that has occurred in my life up to this point today.

“God, I don’t know why you love me, I don’t know why you even care, it’s not that I’m worthy, it’s not that I’ve always done right, yet you still care. You’ve always stood by me, not that I’ve been so good, not that I’ve always lived right, but you’ve always been there for me and you’ve always understood, and there is nothing I can ever do to repay you. Yet the Bible tells me you love me. You said you’d never leave me nor forsake me. Yes, you do love me. You really do. My Jesus really does love me. Yes, He loves me. You stood by me, kept me from hurt and harm, wrapped me in your loving arms and slowly gave me life again, yes, He loves me and I don’t know why.” Several of these phrases rang in my very being as I listened to one of my favorite songs, ‘He Loves Me’ by Joe Pace and the Colorado Mass Choir.

And as my natural emotions took over in the tears that streamed down my face, I began to repent and confess my sins and faults before the Lord, begging for His forgiveness for allowing the cares of this world to seep back into my soul, which in turn, moved me out of position to stand firmly on His promises for my life. In short, I sacrificed some unimportant things. Thus, my focus was diverted, albeit small; ‘it is the small foxes that spoil the vines’ that delayed some very important blessing from materializing in my life. ‘God I want more of you. I just want to do what you want me to do for you, Lord.’

And God reminded me early this morning that He in His Sovereignty decided to answer very specific and crucial prayers brought to Him from others on my behalf that I be ‘revived, restored, refreshed, reinvigorated’ to continue to do His will. And I so thank God for His continued grace, mercy and faithfulness towards me. For He has been my Keeper; He has been my Protector; He has been my Savior; He has been my Lord; and God knows He has been my Provider; and thank you Jesus! He continues to be all of this and MORE in my life right NOW, TODAY! And shortly thereafter, this scripture came to mind: Matthew 10:[22] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Please stay with me, as this is the remainder of my revelation, taken straight from the Word of God out of the mouth of Jesus Christ as He spoke to His disciples, and I am a disciple also of Jesus Christ.

And may the spirit of the true and living God speak to each of you in some way as He did to me this morning and the bottom line encouragement for this day is to endure hardness as a good solider of Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:3); and Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58).

My Revelation:

Matthew 10:26Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

27What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

29Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

32Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

40He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

41He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

42And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

17But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

18And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

19But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

20For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

I pray and speak the very best of God’s heavenly blessings over each of your lives in Jesus name, Amen! Pastor Andra
