The Last Supper (25 hits)

When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, he said, "I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me." (Matthew 26:20,21)

Though He knew who would betray Him, Jesus's love for Judas remained. His peace remained. Simon even asked if the Lord was referring to him.

"Surely not I?" Judas asked, though the coins, the price of Christ's life clinked at his hip.

"Yes, it is you," the Lord says before explaining that the wine is his blood and the bread his body. Though we shrink back from telling the truth in love, Jesus never did, not even when it would mean His life. Why? Because He knew who He was and Whose He was. May we know the same thing today as we walk in love, truth and freedom.

Father God, help us to know the difference between conviction and condemnation. Help us to hear you when you sometimes must say, "Yes, baby, it is YOU." Let us know remember the blood and the broken body, the love and the grace as we seek to be better women, wives, friends and daughters. Resurrect us this season, bring our best dreams, our best selves back to life.
In Christ's name, Amen
