MONDAY MORNING MEDITATION-OCTOBER 6, 2008 (126 hits)

October 6, 2008
LINE OF DEMARCATION

“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years”(Gen. 6:3).

It doesn’t matter what state we are living in: Michigan, Louisiana, California, Texas, north, south, east or west, we are all living in a state of confusion. The mess that man has made in this world is almost unbelievable.

When I look at the above verse of scripture, I can’t help but wonder if God has “nerves.” If He does, I feel as though mankind has gotten on His last one! How much more will He put up with? Have you ever reached the point in your life where you had an “I’m not putting up with this any more” attitude? Heaven help us all if God says, “Enough is Enough.” “No More.” Or “I’m through.” The very thought of Him saying this before my loved ones are all saved causes me to fear and tremble. God has been so merciful, so loving, and long-suffering. However, He does have a wrath side. I don’t know about you, but I sure don’t want to encounter that side of Him.

Now, look at the second part of that verse. Man may live to be 120 years old but, sooner or later, we all are going to have to pay the piper (pay the cost). In other words, we will have to meet our Maker and answer for whatever we’ve done in these bodies. Some may get by, but they won’t get away.

I beseech you, brethren, don’t fall under the wrath of God. It’s a terrible thing. “And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
