Washington, D.C. – During a recent press junket, The Belle Report, caught up with Queen Latifah, who talked about her role on the soon to be released inspirational film, The Secret Life of Bees, her co-stars Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Dakota Fanning and Sophie Okonedo and her CD.
It had been a long day, but Latifah still made time to talk with The Belle. In talking about The Secret Life of Bees, Latifah said, “There were certain people who just had to be in this picture, and fortunately, we got our first picks. Specifically Dakota Fanning who is extremely talented, along with all of the other actors who bring so much to this picture.
As for her upcoming CD, slated for a December release, Latifah calls it “banging” and plans to hit the road next year. She’s been working with LL Cool J and Dr. Dre., “They pretty much did the whole album.” “My boy Kenny Flav did one track and I think might do two more. Missy [Elliott] and Swizz Beatz are the only two people I have left. But they’re mixing it right now.”
Look for The Secret Life Of Bees, to hit movie theaters, Friday, October 17th, 2008.
